
A Colorado native, Krista Beucler is a writer, artist, and traveler passionate about adventure, the outdoors, photography, cats, and gluten free and vegetarian food. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA with a BA in English: Creative Writing, a double minor in Spanish and Museum Studies, and a certificate from the Peace Corps Prep Program. She earned an MFA in creative writing from Drexel University. Her interests are as eclectic as her qualifications.
She was a contributing editor for the Community Cats Podcast blog and has spent time in the world of marketing and communications with such organizations as the National Kitten Coalition, the National Museum of the American Indian, Pax Lodge World Centre, and the Community Cats Podcast. She has been a reader and editor for several literary magazines including the Rappahannock Review, Paper Dragon, and Under the Sun. In 2021, she served as an AmeriCorps member working in youth development. After a stint as a cast member at Walt Disney World, several years as an adjunct professor and museum educator, she is currently focusing on getting her novel published and preparing for more international volunteering.
